Free forms and camps, new measures for JMMSY

Tuesday, 06 August 2024 | PNS | Jamshedpur

Deputy Commissioner,  Ananya Mittal, has issued detailed guidelines to ensure the successful implementation of the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maniyaan Samman Yojana and the smooth operation of the special camps associated with the scheme. This initiative aims to streamline processes and ensure eligible beneficiaries receive their due benefits without unnecessary hurdles.

Mittal emphasized the importance of punctuality and preparedness among the Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs). Each VLE has been instructed to arrive at the special camps, which are being conducted in all Panchayats and Municipal Bodies, on time and equipped with the necessary electronic devices. To ensure accountability and efficiency, Block Development Officers (BDOs) will monitor the attendance and performance of VLEs, providing daily reports to the Director of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA). In instances where VLEs fail to attend, the accountability will extend to the concerned VLE and the Common Service Center (CSC) Manager.

One of the primary concerns addressed by the District Magistrate was the availability of forms. He assured that the forms required for the scheme are being provided free of cost. Beneficiaries can obtain these forms from their local Anganwadi Sevika (female health worker) or Sahayika (helper).  Mittal made it clear that any attempts by intermediaries to charge for these forms should be reported immediately to the block or district administration, and stringent action would be taken against such individuals.

Beneficiaries are encouraged to use any of the three acceptable forms: downloaded forms from the official Jharkhand government website, black and white xerox copies of the PDF, or the physical forms provided at the camps. The website link for downloading the forms is [https://www.jharkhand.gov.in/wcd](https://www.jharkhand.gov.in/wcd).

To avoid overcrowding and ensure orderly operations, all Anganwadi Sevikas have been instructed to log the eligible beneficiaries into a survey register when distributing forms and provide them with a specific date and time to visit the camp. Beneficiaries downloading or photocopying forms are also required to get their camp attendance date and time from their respective Sevikas while making an entry in the survey register. This measure aims to streamline the flow of participants and enhance the efficiency of the camp operations.

BDOs have been directed to organize meetings with public representatives, Anganwadi Sevikas, and Sahayikas to spread awareness about the availability of free forms and the process of downloading them online or using photocopies. These meetings are intended to educate the community, eliminate misinformation, and encourage the smooth execution of the scheme.

The proactive measures taken by  Ananya Mittal reflect a comprehensive approach to implementing the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maniyaan Samman Yojana effectively. By ensuring accountability, transparency, and efficient management of resources, the district administration aims to facilitate a seamless experience for the beneficiaries. The special camps, supported by well-coordinated efforts of VLEs, Anganwadi Sevikas, and BDOs, are set to significantly enhance the reach and impact of the scheme across the district.
