A delegation of Federation of Jharkhand Chambers of Commerce and Gold-Silver Vyavasayee Samiti met Chief Minister Champai Soren today and submitted a memorandum. They apprised the Chief Minister of the criminal incidents like loot, snatching and robbery happening in the capital Ranchi and urged him to take appropriate steps to control it.
The Chief Minister told the delegation that strict instructions have been given to the Director General of Police of the state for crime control. He has been instructed to disclose the criminal incidents and take strict action against the criminals involved in it.
The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to maintain law and order at all costs. Those who carry out criminal incidents will not be spared at any cost. Those who met the Chief Minister included Jharkhand Chambers of Commerce President Kishore Mantri, General Secretary Paresh Gattani, Executive Members Praveen Lohia and Rohit Poddar, former President Kunal Ajmani and Dr. Dilip Soni, Ravi Kumar Pintu and Jitendra Kumar Verma of Gold-Silver Vyavasayee Samiti.
Notably, criminals carried out a horrific robbery on June 28 at DP Jewellers located near Birsa Chowk in Jagannathpur police station area. In protest against this incident, all the jewellery shops in the capital Ranchi are closed today on Saturday. All the jewellers united and also took out a protest march.
All the businessmen gathered near the Gandhi statue in Upper Bazaar and marched wearing black bands. During this, the jewellery businessmen gave an ultimatum to Ranchi Police to arrest the criminals within two days.
The jewellers who are doing the protest march say that two big robbery incidents have been carried out in the city. Earlier, a jeweller was robbed in Pandra area of Ranchi. The criminals involved in that robbery have not been caught yet. Now another robbery incident has been carried out. Also, during the robbery, the criminals also shot the shop owner Om Verma. The criminals should be arrested as soon as possible, otherwise they will be forced to take to the streets every day.
All the criminals were doing recce for a long time to carry out the robbery in the jewellery shop located at Birsa Chowk. As soon as the PCR van moved to the other side from near Birsa Chowk, all the criminals entered the shop. As soon as the criminals entered the shop, they held the owner Om Verma and the employees hostage at gunpoint and then started looting. For about 10 minutes, the criminals filled all the jewellery and cash in four big bags and left the shop and walked towards Birsa Chowk.
