Jharkhand Government's Fire Department is going to become more modern because 13 more vehicles are going to be added to the department to fight against fires. In this regard, a four-member team has been sent to Maharashtra to inspect the vehicle. It is expected that all 13 fire vehicles will arrive at the headquarters of Jharkhand Fire Department in the month of June.
Due to the current scorching heat, the incidence of fire has increased significantly in the State. In a move to counter this, more vehicles are being added.
The process of purchasing three hydraulic platforms for the fire brigade has been going on for the last one year. At present, the fire brigade in the State has a total of 129 fire tenders, including small and big ones. After getting 13 new fire engines, this number will increase to 142. In this matter, DG of Home Defense Corps and Fire Department, Anil Palta said that a four-member team has gone to Palghar, Maharashtra to inspect the fire vehicle. The fire department will get all the fire vehicles by the month of June.
It is noteworthy that just a few days ago, there was a fire in Ranchi's Dailymarket and Harmu's fruit market. There was a loss of lakhs due to fire at BSNL head office on 5th May. Let us tell you that the city is settled in a disorganized manner. Due to which big fire engines face difficulty in extinguishing fires at many places. Therefore, the fire brigade is now also emphasizing on the purchase of small fire tenders and motorcycle fire tenders. Its process is also going on.
