Fairs based on cultural heritage to be held in States

Reviewing the progress of construction work of various religious and cultural corridors, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed for light and sound shows at these places. While ensuring the sources of income for the various religious and cultural corridors, their construction and management process should be decided. To ensure better management of the corridors, a management committee should be formed at the local level of the concerned departments like culture, tourism, endowments, revenue, panchayat and rural development, and urban development and housing department.

Culture, Tourism, Religious Trusts and Endowments Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Chief Secretary Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Rajesh Rajoura, Principal Secretary Culture and Tourism Sheoshekhar Shukla were present in the meeting.

Yadav asked to ensure that the construction work of all the developing religious and cultural corridors is planned in such a way that beautification stays on for years. He gave instructions to develop a research institute and educational institution in Sant Ravidas Lok, Sagar. Dr. Yadav said that devotees come to Bhadwa Mata Lok Neemuch not only for darshan but also for health benefits. An Ayurvedic hospital and physiotherapy center should also be connected to Bhadwa Mata Lok. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the architectural style in which the temples are built should ensure that the characteristics are followed in the construction of the structures.

Chief Minister Yadav said that fairs focusing on the art, culture, architecture, and major cuisines of the state to promote the rich cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh, should be organized in other states. This will also encourage tourism.

With the aim of cultural, and religious renaissance and development of tourism, the Tourism Department is working for the development of 18 Loks. Of them, 14 are based on religion and 4 on culture, construction work of 10 religious and 4 cultural Loks is in progress. Conservation of religious and cultural sites, the development of surrounding infrastructure, and the development of high-level facilities required for devotees and tourists should be taken up.

In order to enhance the sense of pride towards religious and cultural heritage among the youth, there will be a display of religious stories, folk arts, etc. through light and sound shows, exhibition galleries, and modern technology like projection, mapping, etc.
