ESL Steel Ltd holds Prerna Samman Samaroah

ESL Steel Limited, a Vedanta Group Company and a leading Greenfield Integrated Steel Producer in India, has achieved 100% success in this year’s Class 10th Board Exams through its Educational Interventionist Programs. Over 98% of students scored above 60% marks.

To celebrate this achievement, the Prerna Samman Samaroah was organized to instill a sense of pride among the students. Ten toppers and their teachers were felicitated at the event. Among the honorees were four girls, six boys, four students from the CBSE Board, six from the Jharkhand Academic Council Board, and four teachers from Prerna Centres. The event, held at Vedanta Skill School, attracted a distinguished crowd of 50, including Bokaro’s District Education Officer as the chief guest, along with students, parents, teachers, and local dignitaries.

Jagarnath Lohra, Chief Guest & District Education Officer, Bokaro , Anand Dubey, Chief Financial Officer, ESL Steel Limited; and  Ashish Ranjan, Head, CSR, ER & PR, ESL Steel Limited, local dignitaries and stakeholders such as Rafiq Ansari from Panchayat Samiti, Chandaha, and Nimai Sharma from Modidih were present. They shared in the joy of the students, their teachers, and guardians, motivating them to further excel in their chosen fields.

Notably ESL Steel Limited’s CSR efforts, particularly through Project Prerna, have significantly motivated students in 27 villages of Chas and Chandankiyari blocks in Bokaro District. The project has demonstrated outstanding success, with the top CBSE scorer achieving 94.4% and the top JAC scorer securing 91%.

The ceremony saw the presentation of new laptops to the top-performing students and recognition of the dedicated teachers.  Anand Dubey, Chief Financial Officer of ESL Steel Limited, stated that the event was aimed at encouraging and valuing the students' efforts, showcasing the remarkable work of the CSR department, and demonstrating that students from rural areas can perform on par with their urban counterparts.

Ashish Ranjan, Head of CSR, ER, and PR at ESL Steel Limited, expressed satisfaction with the results, emphasizing that the right direction and persistent action through educational interventionist programs can yield remarkable outcomes.
