On the call of the National Movement for Old Pension Scheme Organization, employees in all the districts of the state including Bhopal will took out an outrage rally and submit a memorandum to the collector in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.
In Bhopal, the employees took out an Aakrosh Rally on Kohefiza road. They gathered at the Collectorate while raising slogans. The employees continued to gather and submitted a memorandum. The Aakrosh rally was taken out in all the districts of the state.
Employees have been protesting since 2017 demanding the re-implementation of the old pension scheme. Employees had demonstrated before the assembly and then Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh, but the matter did not work out.
As an alternative to the old pension, the central government brought the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) in August. The Union Cabinet approved it and announced its implementation from April 1, 2025. After this, the employees started the demand for old pensions again.
Employees say that there is no better option than an old pension to secure the future of retired employees. Therefore, instead of National Pension Scheme (NPS) and Unified Pension Scheme (UPS), the government should directly talk about implementing the old pension scheme. On the other hand, the National Movement for Old Pension Scheme organization has also made it clear that the demand for old pensions will not stop under any circumstances. The government will have to implement it again. A continuous movement will be carried out regarding this. If needed, the employees will protest in Delhi again.
National Social Media Incharge Sursari Prasad Patel, Kranti Organization Minister Gopal Banjare, Departmental President Manoj Chatpate, Bhopal District President Mohammad Danish, Ekant Suryavanshi, Afsar Khan, Manish Sharma, Manish Yadav and other NPS pensioner officers and employees were present in the Aakrosh Rally.
The employees have figured out many flaws in the Unified Pension Scheme UPS. They say that this scheme does not have social security for teachers, officers and employees after retirement. It seems to be more dangerous than NPS. It should not be implemented. In NPS too, the rules for family pension after death while in service are controversia.
