A slight nip in the air felt mostly during the early morning and late evening hours in most parts across the State suggest the onset of the winter months. In the next few days, the nighttime temperatures are further expected to dip by 2 to 3 degree Celsius.
As per the MET Centre, Ranchi, on November 12, the skies will be partly cloudy. Thereafter, there will be fair weather with a clear sky and pleasant weather conditions. Fog and mist in the morning hours at isolated places will be experienced. Areas around forests, water bodies and open fields are places where slight to moderate fog will be witnessed.
“The sky will be partly cloudy on November 12. Due to the incoming southerly winds, there is some moisture in the air as well but there is no possibility of rainfall or thunderstorm activity. Once the atmosphere clears and also due to the incoming northwesterly winds, the minimum temperature will come down by 2 to 3 degree Celsius,” said Director MET Centre, Ranchi Abhishek Anand.
As per the bulletin shared by the Meteorological Centre, Ranchi on Monday evening, in the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature in the State capital was recorded at 17 degree Celsius which is 2 degrees above normal. In the next 24 hours, the night time temperature is expected to be 2.6 degrees below normal.
Similarly, the minimum temperature in Jamshedpur was recorded at 18.7 degree Celsius which is 1.6 degrees above normal and Daltonganj was at 19.4 degree Celsius which is 3.5 degrees above normal.
From November 12 to November 15, the maximum temperature in the State capital and its surrounding areas will be around 27 to 28 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature for November 12 is predicted at 17 degree Celsius which is expected to drop down to 14 degree Celsius by November 15.
