Senior Congress leader and former Jamshedpur MP Dr. Ajoy Kumar has launched a scathing attack on the BJP government, accusing it of rigging every competitive exam in the country. Speaking at a press conference, Dr. Ajoy alleged widespread corruption and manipulation in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations, implicating top officials and political leaders.
Dr. Ajoy urged the media to employ the Right to Information Act (RTI) to uncover the exact marks of candidates related to BJP leaders. “If the media uses the RTI to find out the exact UPSC exam marks of those candidates who are relatives of BJP leaders, they will be shocked. Everything will come out in the open,” he said.
He further referenced the recent NEET exam paper leak scandal, highlighting the adverse effects such incidents have on the aspirants, particularly those from middle-class families. "If the central government is involved in such scams, where will the children of middle-class families go, as they are heavily dependent on such exams?" Dr. Ajoy questioned, emphasizing the reliance of many on these exams for a fair shot at education and employment opportunities.
Dr. Ajoy specifically cited a case involving an IAS officer from Pune, who allegedly secured an 800th rank in the UPSC exams under suspicious circumstances. "An IAS officer from Pune getting 800th rank and IAS cadre is a big question for UPSC and the central government," he remarked, suggesting that such instances are indicative of deeper systemic corruption.
Concluding his address, Dr. Ajoy stated, “This makes it clear how much corruption is prevalent at the centre under the NDA government.” His statements have stirred significant controversy, with calls for a thorough investigation into the alleged malpractices within the UPSC and other competitive exams.
