Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated three medical colleges and five nursing colleges for Madhya Pradesh from New Delhi on Tuesday. He inaugurated medical colleges in Neemuch, Mandsaur, and Seoni, while laying foundation stones for government nursing colleges in Shivpuri, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Dhar, and Khandwa. Additionally, he virtually inaugurated a 100-bed hospital in Indore and the administrative block ‘Kautilya Bhavan’ at AIIMS Bhopal. At the state-level ceremony held in Mandsaur on the occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti, 512 newly appointed Ayurveda doctors received appointment letters virtually. Furthermore, 1624 crore rupees were transferred to the accounts of 81 lakh farmers in Madhya Pradesh under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana with a single click. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 11 development projects worth 167 crores in Mandsaur district, announcing that an Industry Conclave would soon be held in Mandsaur and Neemuch.
Prime Minister Modi remarked that this Diwali is historic with the construction of the Lord Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya. He stated that this year’s Dhanteras is a confluence of prosperity and health, symbolizing India’s culture and philosophy of life. Expressing happiness, he highlighted the growing global interest in Ayurveda, with Ayurveda Day being celebrated in over 150 countries. The Prime Minister noted that over the past decade, a new chapter in the healthcare sector has begun, integrating Ayurveda’s ancient wisdom with modern medicine, with the All India Institute of Ayurveda as a focal point.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized that the government has prioritized the health of its citizens, as a nation’s progress is directly linked to the health of its people. He highlighted that the government is working continuously on healthcare, early disease detection, affordable medicines, availability of doctors in small towns, and technological expansion in healthcare services. The inauguration and foundation stone laying of various healthcare projects across the country is a testament to this vision of holistic health.
The Chief Minister expressed that they truly celebrated Diwali today, as the Prime Minister gifted the state with three medical colleges, five nursing colleges, a 100-bed hospital in Indore, and the administrative block in Bhopal. Dr. Yadav mentioned that the Prime Minister’s constant guidance and support have made life easier for the common people in the state. Under the Prime Minister’s guidance, the state government is committed to strengthening healthcare services, leading to a continuous increase in the number of medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that saving the lives of the poor is the government’s top priority, and the state government is constantly working towards it. The state’s healthcare facilities are continuously improving, with initiatives like the PMShri Air Ambulance Scheme providing quick and necessary medical assistance to those in need. Dr. Yadav also announced that Ayurveda doctors can now serve in government up to the age of 65, an increase from the previous retirement age of 62. He highlighted that Madhya Pradesh has established a unique identity in the field of healthcare through government and private medical colleges, creating a unified department for better implementation of health services. He further announced plans to open 12 new medical colleges in the state and build a four-lane road connecting Mandsaur, Sitamau, and Suwasra.
From Mandsaur, Chief Minister Yadav transferred the second installment of 1624 crores to the accounts of 81 lakh farmers in Madhya Pradesh under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana with a single click. In Mandsaur district, 2 lakh 991 farmers received 40 crores and 19 lakhs. Local farmers welcomed and honored the Chief Minister, and he presented a Kisan Samman Nidhi check to farmers Gopal Rathore and Shambhu Singh from Mandsaur.
