DGP gives necessary instructions for safety of women and children and maintenance of law and order

To ensure safety of women and children and to maintain law and order in the state, DGP Sudhir Saxena has given  necessary instructions to all Superintendents of Police through video conferencing for effective prevention of sexual crimes in the state, intensive investigation of sexual offenders and action to get strict punishment to sexual offenders.

All the Zonal IGs/ADGs of the state, Commissioners of Bhopal and Indore Commissionerate, SPs of all districts and Deputy Commissioners of Police of Indore and Bhopal participated in the VC.

DGP Saxena directed that from today onwards, by running a campaign against people involved in sexual crimes, ensure intensive investigation and monitoring of people involved in such crimes in the last ten years in all the police station areas of the state. Obtain information about sexual offenders from various databases of police, especially those who have committed such crime more than once. If they are residing anywhere else except their area, inform the concerned police station so that their activities can be monitored closely.

If any activity or conduct of such criminals is found suspicious or doubtful in your respective police station area, give instructions and ensure strict action as per law including bond over if necessary. Make sure to prepare the history sheet of repeat offenders and keep a special eye on habitual offenders.

He said that as per the intention of the government, take continuous follow-up for quick resolution of cases related to POCSO Act and other sexual crimes in the fast track court and make meaningful efforts to ensure quick justice to the victim and severe punishment to the criminal by constantly contacting the DPO and other concerned officials.

All the arrangements should be ensured in all the schools of the state with the cooperation of the district administration in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court regarding the safety and security of children.

He further added that police verification of all the staff of all schools should be done compulsorily. Also, there should be vigilant vigil on the people and roads around the school premises. Ensure that CCTV cameras are on in the premises and vehicles. Do not ignore any suspicious activity and suspicious person found, take necessary steps after thorough investigation.

DGP Saxena said that all field police officers should review the black spots by establishing coordination with the concerned officials of the district administration, urban and rural bodies in their respective areas and exercise special caution there. Strengthen the beat system and identify anti-social elements and take action against them as per rules.
