Director General, Eastern Zone, Press Information Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, T.V.K. Reddy, on his two-day visit to Ranchi today inspected the offices of Press Information Bureau (PIB) and Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) located in Ranchi. On his arrival at the PIB office, he was welcomed by Akhil Kumar Mishra, Additional Director General, PIB-CBC, Ranchi by presenting a bouquet of flowers.
The Director General gave necessary guidelines in a meeting with the officers and employees of PIB, Ranchi. Thereafter, Reddy reached CBC Ranchi office where he was duly welcomed. The Director General introduced himself to all the officers and employees. On this occasion, all the people were also administered the 'Vigilance Pledge' by the Director General under the 'Vigilance Awareness Week' celebrated in the Government of India.
Today, a special awareness campaign was organized by CBC Ranchi at Acharyakulam Vidyalaya, Ranchi under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign launched by the Prime Minister, in which Director General of Eastern Zone, T.V.K. Reddy participated as the Chief Guest. Additional Director General PIB Ranchi, Akhil Kumar Mishra and the Principal of the school, Sujata Kaura participated as special guests.
On this occasion, the Director General planted a sapling in the school premises under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign. He also awarded the winners of painting, essay etc. competitions organized by CBC in the school on National Space Day, and encouraged everyone.
In his address, he thanked the Principal of the school for cooperating in this campaign, and described it as an essential campaign for environmental protection in the long term, in which all citizens and institutions should participate enthusiastically.
Additional Director General Akhil Kumar Mishra thanked the Chief Guest, Director General Eastern Zone TVK Reddy for joining this campaign of CBC Ranchi, and gave information about the programs being conducted by the regional offices of CBC Ranchi under this campaign in the state.
Principal of Acharyakulam School, Sujata Kaura appreciated this campaign of the Prime Minister and thanked CBC for giving her school the opportunity to participate in it.
CBC Ranchi and PIB Ranchi officials Rajesh Sinha, Shahid Rehman, Gaurav Pushkar and Omkar Nath Pandey played a role in the conduct and coordination of today's programs.
