In a momentous announcement, the doors of the Ram Temple are set to be open for devotees from January 23, marking a significant milestone following the grand inauguration ceremony. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust general secretary Champat Rai unveiled comprehensive measures to ensure a seamless and regulated entry process for all pilgrims.
Rai emphasised on the necessity for a well-organised approach, indicating the possibility of extending the temple entry into the night to accommodate the maximum number of devotees. Concurrently, the entry of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), RSS, and other members of ‘vichar pariwar’ (like-minded organisations) is scheduled to commence from January 26.
To manage the anticipated influx, specific time slots and batches will be allocated to devotees and other groups, ensuring strict adherence to the designated schedule. With an expected daily turnout of 4,500 to 5,000, each devotee has been requested to limit their stay to one day. This arrangement is slated to remain in effect until February 23 or 24, as per Rai’s announcement.
Invited guests, including members of various organisations, will find accommodations at locations such as Karsevak Puram, the naturopathy centre at Maniramdas Chavni Kendra, and the adjacent Teerth Kshetra Puram, named after Mani Parivat. In addition, arrangements are underway in ashrams, dharamshalas, home stays, and hotels to ensure top-notch facilities for all guests.
Underlining the global significance of the event, Rai revealed that representatives from 50 nations, including groups from the United States and Hong Kong, are expected to attend the consecration.
Adopting a unique approach of ‘one nation, one organisation representative’, a total of 53 delegates from 50 nations, including South Africa and Gulf countries, will be present.
Rai reiterated the priority of providing a seamless experience for devotees, emphasising the goal of facilitating same-day departures. In consideration of the cold weather, efforts are being made to extend darshan timings until the night, if necessary, to prevent any inconvenience to attendees.
“The emphasis will be on ensuring that those who have arrived for darshan are able to leave that day itself. The effort is on ensuring people are not put to any inconvenience in this cold. So as per requirement, we will ensure darshan timings are extended till night as well,” Rai stated. The organisers are committed to delivering a memorable and comfortable experience for all attendees, both local and international, during this historic occasion.
