As the railway authorities of Dhanbad Rail Division gear up for the relaunch, the most demanded Dhanbad-Chandrapura(DC) passenger train after a gap of seven years, the Director General of Mines Safety (DGMS)has once again sounded an alert.
The DGMS has said that the Dhanbad - Chandrapura railway line is under threat of subsidence owing to underground mines fire.
Director General Prabhat Kumar said this on Sunday during the 123rd foundation day function. Whereas the railways is all set to relaunch aforementioned trains from January 10 on much demand of the public.
It's worth mentioning that DGMS had recommended the suspension of train services on this line on June 15, 2017 on this due to the potential risk of fire under the tracks along the route.Then total of 26 passenger and express trains along with some goods trains were suspended on this route.
The route was opened again on the basis of DGMS report on February 6/ 2019 just ahead of the last Lok Sabha elections.
However, baring Dhanbad - Chandrapura train, others returned on tracts, now this train is scheduled to be inaugurated on coming Wednesday from Dhanbad station for Chandrapura at around 5 PM.
Local MP PN Singh is likely to flag off this train according to the Divisional railway officer, however amidst warning of DGMS.
