Mining leases to be monitored through inspection app

Thursday, 14 November 2024 | PNS | Lucknow

In compliance with the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Directorate of Geology and Mining has developed an inspection app for monitoring lease areas through mobile teams.

Through this app, inspection related investigations of mining lease areas can be viewed with complete transparency and timeliness at a single click.

While giving this information, Director Mining Mala Shrivastava said that the monitoring app would be able to curb illegal mining leases in the state, adding that effective action would be taken on illegal mining through the app and strict action would be taken as per the rules.

The director of mining also informed that the inspection monitoring app developed by the Directorate of Geology and Mining will curb illegal mining and the accountability of the mining lease holder along with the officers and employees concerned will also be fixed.

Through the monitoring inspection app, while on one hand illegal mining will be stopped, on the other, revenue will also increase. For this, the officials of the district concerned, including the headquarters, have been trained to use the app.
