In a commendable display of grassroots engagement, Bokaro Deputy Commissioner (DC), Vijaya Jadhav, inspected the Middle School in Chandipur on Saturday. The visit took place after reviewing preparations for an upcoming program of the Chief Minister, scheduled at the Chandipur ground. Accompanying her were Deputy Development Commissioner Girja Shankar Prasad, Additional Collector Mumtaz Ansari, Sub-Divisional Officer Prabhash Dutta, DTO Vandana Shejwalkar, and other local officials.
During the inspection, DC Jadhav interacted with students from classes six, seven, and eight, inquiring about their academic progress. She even took on the role of a teacher, engaging class six students by reading from their textbooks and explaining concepts related to thermometers, Celsius, and temperature. Her hands-on approach was well-received, as she gave students detailed explanations on various subjects and asked them questions about historical figures whose portraits adorned the classroom walls.
The DC emphasized the importance of cleanliness and proper maintenance of school facilities, instructing the headmaster to ensure that both the premises and restrooms are kept in good condition. Additionally, she and the Deputy Development Commissioner sought feedback from students on the quality of the mid-day meal provided at the school.
Furthermore, DC Jadhav reviewed the preparations for the Chief Minister’s program at Chandipur Ground, giving essential instructions regarding the various arrangements, and branding, while urging officials to complete the tasks within the stipulated time.
Her proactive and ground-level involvement in both education and event preparation highlights her commitment to the development and well-being of Bokaro’s citizens.
