National level workshop under Prayogshala connect programme was organized on the topic 'Cornea Diagnostic-2024' at Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital yesterday. This workshop was organized in collaboration of all India Ophthalmic society and Bhopal Division Ophthalmic Society.
Total 72 practicing and budding ophthalmologists of Bhopal participated in it. Dr. Sushmita Shah, Cornea and Refractive Surgeon of Eye Life Hospital, Mumbai was present as the keynote speaker in the workshop. On this occasion, Medical Director of Sewa Sadan Dr. Prerna Upadhyay, Cornea Specialist Dr. Shubha Rai, Bhopal Division Ophthalmic Society officials Dr. Vasudha Damle, Dr Gajendra Chawla, Dr Mrs. Swarana Bisaria, Dr. Rahul Agarwal, Dr. KL Gupta, Dr. Vijay Nichlani, Managing Trustee of Sewa Sadan A.C. Sadhwani, Trustees Mahesh Dayaramani, Hero Gyanchandani, Suresh Awatramani and Tulsi Adwani, Sant Sewak L.C. Janiyani, Hero Keswani and staff of the hospital were mainly present.
Dr. Sushmita Shah in her key note address said that in medical science, modern equipments have big role in the errorless treatment of cornea. She said that with the help of new equipment such as anterior segment OCT, Sirius Topography, Specular Microscopy, accurate treatment of cornea is now become possible. Dr. Sushmita explained the methods of accurate treatment of corneal ulcers and dry eyes through microbiological assessment method.
Dr Prerna Upadhyay welcomed the guest eye specialists present in the workshop and expressed gratitude to the All India Ophthalmic Society for selecting Sewa Sadan for organizing the workshop. Dr. Prerna further hoped that eye surgeons will now be able to know about innovative methods of this field and thus the skill of the cornea surgeons will be developed for the betterment of cornea patients. Managing Trustee AC Sadhwani informed that Sewa Sadan Hospital will very soon be shifted to the new hospital building which is under construction on Airport Road.
On getting this additional facility, Sewa Sadan will be able to serve the more people effectively in the field of blindness control. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Shubha Rai. Senior manager Kushal Dharmani expressed his gratitude; hospital officials Bharti Janiyani and Anusha Tiwari were also present.
