DAV Sector 4 campus was abuzz with excitement and meticulous preparation as it kicked off the two-day DAV Sports Cluster Level event today. The opening ceremony was a resounding success, marked by grandeur and splendor.
The ceremony began with a melodious welcome song, "Kis Tarah Naman Karoon Main Aapka," which set the tone for the day's proceedings. The chief guest, B.S. Jaiswal, along with Vipin Rai, ARO of Zone "G," and principals from various DAV schools, including R.K. Singh, S. Kumar, Stuti Sinha, and Anuradha Singh, graced the event. LMC members Brahmdev and Shashi Bhushan were also present, along with the participating athletes and visitors.
In his address, B.S. Jaiswal emphasized the significance of the event, stating, "Like every year, DAV Sector 4 is committed to fostering a strong lineup of exceptional athletes. These young players will represent India at national and international levels in the future."
The event sees participation from approximately 700 students across 10 schools, competing in various sports including football, basketball, handball, gymnastics, roller skating, lawn tennis, boxing, and taekwondo. To ensure smooth conduct of the games, multiple courts, arenas, and fields have been set up within the school premises.
Sarbendu Shekhar Kar, the principal of DAV Sector 4, highlighted the importance of sports in his speech, saying, "Sports are a potent tool for enhancing discipline. Continuous practice, patience, and self-control are the hallmarks of a skilled athlete. For a long time, DAV Sector 4 has been a solid foundation for training athletes for national competitions."
M.K. Sinha, ARO of Zone "B," extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to S.S. Kar, Principal of DAV Sector 4, for organizing such a massive and well-coordinated event. He acknowledged the crucial roles played by sports teachers S.K. Mishra, Harinder, Rangesh, and Sushil in driving the entire event forward.
The two-day event promises to be a showcase of talent, teamwork, and the sporting spirit, further solidifying DAV Sector 4’s reputation as a hub for nurturing young athletes.
