AAP on Sunday alleged that there was an “acute” danger to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s health in judicial custody, alleging that it is the conspiracy of BJP.

Addressing a press conference, senior AAP leader and Delhi cabinet minister Atishi said Kejriwal, who is a severe diabetic, has had his sugar levels falling dangerously low.

“If Arvind Kejriwal gets a stroke or suffers brain damage then who will be responsible for it? The day the ED arrested Kejriwal, his weight was 70 kg and today his weight is 61.5 kg. Sudden weight loss is also a sign of dangerous diseases,” she said, claiming the AAP chief is unable to get proper medical attention as he is in jail.

Further she stated that his life in jail is in danger and alleged, “Today Arvind Kejriwal’s life is in danger in jail and if anything happens to him then even God will not forgive BJP.”

Attacking the BJP, Atishi said, “The BJP has conspired to put Kejriwal in jail in a fake case. There is an acute danger to his health. His weight has declined by 8.5 kgs and his sugar levels have fallen below 50 five times in sleep. This is a worrying situation especially for a diabetic.”

When the minister was asked whether they would approach court over the matter, she said they are consulting their lawyers and doctors over the issue. “Arvind Kejriwal has been elected as the Chief Minister of Delhi thrice. Kejriwal has provided free electricity-water, better health facilities and free bus travel to women to the people of Delhi. The BJP people cannot get the public welfare work of the Arvind Kejriwal government done in their states, hence they have put Kejriwal in jail,” Atishi said.

Calling the BJP dictator, she stated, “BJP has hatched a conspiracy to attack

Arvind Kejriwal’s health. There is a conspiracy to kill him in jail. Even earlier, dictators used to try to kill their opponents by imprisoning them and ruining their health. The BJP central government first stopped Arvind Kejriwal’s medicines and insulin. He was not allowed to meet his doctor. Only after going to the court, Arvind Kejriwal got insulin and was allowed to consult a doctor.”
