Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Monday claimed that the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal led AAP government is a government run by press conferences and under its rule only development of corruption has taken place in the city.

Hitting out at the Delhi government, Sachdeva alleged, “All AAP ministers, MLAs, councillors are accused of corruption and the Chief Minister, MPs, ministers, MLAs, councillors are going to jail. The entire Kejriwal government is stuck in the game of bail from jail, as a result development work is stalled.”

Delhi BJP chief called the promises made by AAP leaders of guarantees as ‘false guarantees’. He said that the same was made to Delhiites but hasn’t been fulfilled yet since 2015. “AAP promised that 100 schools will be opened every year and instead, after 10 years, not a single new school has been opened while two schools have been reduced compared to 2013. The election promise of 2015 was to open 1000 Mohalla clinics while barely 300 are open now,” he claimed

Further, he stated that the promise of 2015 was free electricity for everyone but after ten years, free electricity is only the dream of an empty flat or a very small house. He claimed that the electricity bills of Delhiites are the highest. “He promised free water for everyone but today, the poorest of the poor in Delhi is forced to provide water to his family at the rate of 30 rupees per bottle. Jal Board does not provide water, and if it does, it is poisonous and dirty, which no one can drink,” he said, adding that Kejriwal promised air and water pollution free Delhi.

“Despite Kejriwal's promises, today Delhi has been branded as the most polluted capital in the world. In the winter of 2023-24, the AQI has been above 400 and it is shameful that in July 2024, which was considered a month of mild pollution, the AQI is also registering above 160,” he claimed.

South Delhi BJP MP Ramveer Singh Bidhuri said that whether it is Delhi or Punjab, aggression, deception, corruption have become the identity of AAP governments. “The Arvind Kejriwal government's disappointing performance on education, health, public transport, pollution control, free electricity and water has disappointed the people of Delhi, while the corruption of his government has also disappointed the people of Delhi,” he said.

Further, the senior party leader alleged that while BJP MLAs have raised issues like increasing pollution many times in the Delhi Assembly, the Kejriwal government, instead of discussing and bringing about improvements, has stopped us from speaking by throwing us out of the Assembly.

“We will not let Arvind Kejriwal deceive the people of Haryana and will go to Haryana and run a public awareness campaign,” Bidhuri asserted

Moreover, Sachdeva claimed that Delhi is groaning today, demanding change and demanding the resignation of Arvind Kejriwal's government.
