Cooperation Minister Vishvas Kailash Sarang emphasized that the goal is to establish Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) in every village, create employment for all, and develop a well-organized cooperative movement. He stated that the expansion of cooperatives at the panchayat level is essential for advancing this vision. By embracing the core values of cooperation, the objective is to build a prosperous nation. The concept of multi-purpose PACS has been introduced to generate employment opportunities in every panchayat.

Minister Sarang was addressing the state-level seminar "Sahkar Se Samriddhi" held at Samanvay Bhawan, Bhopal, on Wednesday. Before the event, Union Minister for Cooperation Amit Shah inaugurated 10,000 newly formed multi-purpose PACS, dairy, and fisheries cooperatives in New Delhi. Officers from cooperation departments across the states attended the program virtually.

Speaking at the seminar, Minister Sarang highlighted the importance of cooperation in societal development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that cooperation is the only medium to unite society and achieve prosperity. He called the family a perfect example of cooperation, emphasizing that nothing can be achieved without collective participation in daily life.

The minister stressed the need for employment generation through PACS. He suggested that PACS should not be limited to activities like animal husbandry, fisheries, and credit distribution but should also diversify into running petrol pumps, gas agencies, marriage halls, and gardens to strengthen their financial standing.

He urged everyone to commit to establishing PACS in every panchayat by the next year, under the mantra "No progress without cooperation, and no cooperation without values." He emphasized the importance of discipline and cultural values in advancing the cooperative movement in Madhya Pradesh.

Minister Sarang also discussed the role of cooperative brainstorming sessions in setting future goals, aligning with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav's vision of creating employment for every household. He stated that young participants would play a pivotal role in ensuring that PACS become multi-purpose units and announced plans for comprehensive dialogues through cooperative discussions at all levels to determine long-term objectives.

Additionally, he stressed the importance of recognizing and encouraging excellent work within the cooperative sector. He urged senior officials to mentor junior staff to prepare them for greater success in the future.

Highlighting the limitless potential of cooperatives, Additional Chief Secretary of Cooperation Ashok Varnwal remarked on the need to explore opportunities and strengthen business activities within PACS to benefit stakeholders.

He also encouraged cooperative institutions to collaborate for mutual growth.

During the event, Minister Sarang released publications focusing on the standard operating procedures for strengthening cooperative banks, simplified legal processes, and significant activities under the "Sahkar Se Samriddhi" program.
