In view of the possibility of questioning Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Delhi, the political heat in Jharkhand has increased. Congress Legislature Party leader Alamgir Alam has instructed all his Congress Ministers and MLAs to reach Ranchi as early as possible.

Congress is the main alliance partner in the State Government led by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).  However, Alam did not clarify the reason to call the party Ministers and MLA to be present in the State Capital.  He said that the party is an important component of the State Government so he called the MLAs to be present in the State Capital. However, Alam claimed that the State Government led by Chief Minister, Hemant Soren will complete its tenure successfully.

The speculations are in the air that between the ongoing political turmoil in the State the State Congress to chalk out its future plan. The State Congress is supporting the JMM led State Government with its 17 MLAs in the State. The party’s four MLAs got Ministerial berths in the State Government. The Central Agency has been continuously sending summons to the Chief Minister, Hemant Soren related to land scam cases. Recently the Agency sent its 10th summon to the Chief Minister.  

Meanwhile, Jharkhand Chief Secretary L Khyangte held an emergency meeting at his Ranchi residence. In which many senior police officers including the Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi participated. The Chief Secretary has directed the Ranchi district administration to remain fully alert, so that any situation that may arise can be dealt with.

The DySP, who is monitoring the security forces, has been ordered to deploy additional police forces in high security areas of the city. Barricading has been done at the intersections regarding the demonstration of JMM workers in this matter. On the other hand, Hemant Soren's brother Basant Soren is continuously calling all the MLAs asking them to come to Ranchi. Congress MLAs have also been called to Ranchi. It is noteworthy that the ED team reached the CM residence in Delhi early on Monday morning. It is being said that ED can interrogate the CM in the land scam case. However, CM Hemant is not present at his Delhi residence. Information about the CM's whereabouts was not available till the writing of the news. Ranchi Police is on high alert regarding JMM's protest against ED's arrival at CM residence in Delhi.
