Surveying sanitation work in the state capital on Friday, Municipal Commissioner Harendra Narayan urged officials to bear in mind the guidelines of the Swachh Survekshan 2024 while undertaking cleanliness work.
Accompanied by health department officials, Narayan visited streets, lanes, and backlanes in the commercial district of MP Nagar to assess the sanitation situation.
During the inspection, Narayan discussed cleanliness issues with a female sanitation worker and understood the practical challenges faced by municipal workers.Narayan called for an enhancement of the cleanliness effort and underlined the need for immediate removal of waste from the roads during cleanliness drives.He instructed officials to closely monitor cleanliness activities, especially night-time cleaning in commercial zones, green belt cleaning, and the removal of illegal banners and posters.
