Chief Minister Hemant Soren has thanked people of the state for the peaceful conclusion of the Jharkhand Assembly election. Hemant Soren thanking the people of state especially the polling staff and police personnel engaged in the polling in his social media platform he has said that this great festival of democracy on the holy land of Jharkhand was amazing. In both the phases, the people of the state have expressed their aspirations and hopes through voting. This is not just an election, but a resolution to build a new, prosperous and strong Jharkhand.
Soren further said that the elderly, the youth, the workers, women, farmers - all gave their unprecedented blessings with enthusiasm and excitement in this great festival of democracy. Everyone, especially, half of the state's population - our Maiyaan, enthusiastically gave their immense blessings to JMM and INDIA alliance in a historic manner for their rights, dignity and respect.
“We firmly pledge that we will realize the sacrifice of the immortal brave martyrs, fulfill the dreams of the great revolutionaries, give tangible form to the aspirations of the agitators and together create a new, golden Jharkhand!, “ Soren added.
On this auspicious occasion, I bow down to each voter, to the dutiful polling personnel, to the dedicated workers of JMM and INDIA alliance, and to all those political parties that have strengthened democracy.
In Jharkhand today, voting concluded for the second phase with a turnout of 67.59% till 5 p.m.. Polling continues in certain stations where voters are waiting in queue before the culmination of poll hours.
In the second phase, the BJP is contesting on 32 seats and its ally AJSU on six seats. For the INDIA bloc, JMM is contesting from 20 seats, Congress from 13, Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) from four, and RJD from two. The JMM and CPI(ML) will have a friendly contest in Dhanwar while the Congress and RJD will engage in a friendly fight in Chattarpur and Bishrampur.
