CM seeks people’s support to get Rs 1,36,000 Cr dues from Centre

Chief Minister Hemant Soren today questioned the Central government as to when Jharkhand will get its dues? He said that we are not asking for a special package for Jharkhand but our dues. The CM questioned why the BJP is behaving like this with Jharkhand, we are asking for the money for the rights of our Jharkhand, but the BJP government at the center is silent.

On a post on X Soren said that now the people of Jharkhand will give the answer to this to the Bhartiya Jumla Party in the upcoming elections. Today I need your support, friends. Have you ever wondered why no BJP leader asked for the outstanding amount of Rs 1 lakh 36 thousand crore of the people of the state?

Hemant further said, Jharkhand made BJP win 12/14, 12/14, 9/14 MPs in the last 3 Lok Sabha elections. Still why did they not ask for the rights of us Jharkhandis? I was put in jail in a bogus case because they wanted to silence me. They want me to stop demanding the rights of my state. Even if they put me in jail again, I will fight till death and demand my rights.

The CM said that today they have put all their power in Jharkhand, from the Center to the state, so that they can somehow remove me from the way and then snatch the rights of the Jharkhandis.

“We are not asking for a special package like any other state, we are just demanding our rights. He said, that is why today I need the support of my brave Jharkhandis. If you do not demand your rights today, then other states will get special packages from our money and you will remain empty handed. The future of Jharkhand is in your hands,” he said.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday Soren along with his wife MLA Kalpana Soren met Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi in Delhi to discuss the seat sharing formula for Assembly polls in the State.

A meeting took place in Delhi with Rahul Gandhi, the party's National General Secretary KC Venugopal, and Jharkhand MLA Kalpana Soren, focusing on the seat-sharing agreement. According to sources, there was some disagreement between Congress and JMM over specific seats, but leaders discussed these issues and affirmed that the alliance will contest elections together in Jharkhand.

Sources also mentioned that the Congress' poor performance in the Haryana elections was a topic of conversation, with leaders emphasizing that the INDI Alliance should learn from those results and ensure a stronger fight in Jharkhand to avoid a similar outcome.

Congress reportedly demanded 33 seats this time. Kalpana Soren is said to have persuaded Congress leaders that the priority should be winning the elections for the INDI Alliance as a whole, rather than focusing on individual parties or candidates. Top Congress leaders reportedly agreed with this view. State leaders will have further discussions before finalizing the seat distribution.
