harkhand government officially launched and roll out the ‘Mukhyamantri Maiyaan Samman Yojana’, which seeks to provide Rs 1000 per month to over 50 lakh women in the state, on Sunday.

Modelled on the lines of the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’ in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra where the scheme was also launched today, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has assured that this scheme will not be temporary and will continue indefinitely.

The chief minister Soren also associated the scheme with upcoming Raksha Bandhan festival, guaranteeing to protect the interests of women in the state through the scheme.

Alongside Maharashtra government has also launched an app called Nari Shakti Dhoot, through which women eligible for the scheme can easily apply online.

The Chief Minister said that despite all the adverse circumstances, the public welfare schemes of the government are coming on the ground, which is benefiting the common people.

The Chief Minister said that women empowerment is the commitment of our government. He said that the women here are very hardworking. They run the household and also work for income. In such a situation, our government is already running many schemes for the women and sisters and daughters of the state. In this sequence, another historical link named Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maaniyan Samman Yojana is being added from today. Under this scheme, women and sisters and daughters will get an honorarium of Rs 12 thousand every year.

The Chief Minister further said that to ensure that the girls of the state are not deprived of education due to lack of money, they are being given Rs 40 thousand under the Savitribai Kishori Samridhi Yojana. So far more than 9 lakh girls have been added to this scheme. At the same time, women above 50 years of age are also being given the benefit of pension scheme.

Our government is with you at every step. We are well aware of your feelings. This is the reason why our government is moving forward with full sensitivity with the resolve to strengthen the tribals, Dalits, exploited, deprived, poor and farmers-laborers.

The Chief Minister said that our government has always been committed to public welfare. In the last one and a half years, we have brought many such schemes, by joining which the people here are becoming empowered. Now an action plan is being prepared to start many more such public welfare schemes. These new schemes will become an important means of changing the condition and direction of this state. We are increasing our resources for the successful implementation of these schemes.

The Chief Minister said that our government is working to bring smile on every face. The government has many schemes, by joining which people are becoming self-reliant. Our government is providing financial security cover to all the elderly, single women and disabled by implementing the Sarvajan Pension Scheme. At the same time, loans up to two lakh rupees of farmers are being waived. Under the Chief Minister Employment Creation Scheme, financial assistance of up to Rs 25 lakh is being given to the youth willing to do self-employment so that they can give employment to others along with themselves. The appointment process for the vacant posts on a large scale is going on at a fast pace. Along with this, many important decisions have been taken in the interest of government employees of all categories. Government employees have been given the old pension scheme as a support for old age. The honorarium has been increased along with improvement in the service conditions of employees working on contract. Other workers like Anganwadi Sevika - Sahayika are being given respectable incentives. An atmosphere of happiness is being seen across the state due to the decisions of the government.

The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand was always kept on the margins even before and after becoming a separate state. The policy makers did not take care of this state and its poor people. This is the reason why Jharkhand remained backward in terms of development. But, since the formation of our government, it has been continuously taking decisive decisions to take the state to the threshold of development and for the upliftment of the people here. The day is not far when Jharkhand will be counted among the leading states.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister gave the gift of 151 schemes worth about Rs 187 crore 15 lakh.
