On the occasion of Mahashivratri, Chief Minister Champai Soren participated in the ‘Shri Shiv Baraat’ program organised at the historic Pahari Temple complex today. The Chief Minister worshiped Baba Bholenath here with full rituals and wished for the happiness, prosperity, progress and welfare of all the people of the state. Addressing the devotees present on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that today we all are celebrating the festival of Mahashivratri with joy by worshiping Lord Mahadev, the God of Gods.
The Chief Minister said that his government will preserve the historic hill temple located in Ranchi. This religious heritage will be given a separate identity in the country. The Chief Minister said that work will be done with commitment towards providing better facilities to the devotees in the temple premises. He said that all the devotees have been invited to the ‘Shri Shiv Baraat’ program organized by Mahasamiti Pahari Mandir.
“On my behalf, I convey my best wishes and congratulations to all the officials including the Chairman of the General Committee for this programme,” he said.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister extended his hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the women devotees present in the hill temple complex on International Women's Day.
On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, former MP Subodh Kant Sahay, MLA CP Singh and other dignitaries and a large number of devotees were present.
