Chief Minister Mohan Yadav during his two-day visit to Chitrakoot, warmly engaged with tribal students from Deendayal Shodh Sansthan's Ramnath Ashram School. In an affectionate atmosphere, he enjoyed a captivating display of folk and Bundelkhandi Diwari dances performed by the students and demonstrated the traditional art of Lathi weilding with the children. His wife, Smt. Seema Yadav, was also present at the event. The programme began with Dr. Yadav offering floral tributes to a portrait of Bharat Ratna Nanaji Deshmukh.
In a programme at Chitrakoot, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav spoke about promoting the "Vocal for Local" initiative, emphasizing that local artisans who craft Deepawali items like diyas, decorations and more should be given priority in the market. Dr. Yadav also took the time to interact personally with students from the Vanvasi Hostel, asking them about their aspirations for the future. He spoke to Sumit Singh, a 7th-grade student from Chaurai, who shared his ambition to become a doctor. He then asked Sonali, a 2nd-grade student, who also aspired to become a doctor, and Saloni, a 5th-grader from Barua, who expressed her dream of becoming a teacher. Dr. Yadav engaged with a 10th-grade student from Barua who, having attended the school for ten years, shared his goal of becoming an engineer to serve his country and develop his village. The Chief Minister warmly praised the students for their aspirations, expressing joy in visiting the ashram school.
Yadav greatly appreciated the group song, folk dance, and Bundelkhandi Diwari dance performed by the students. He directed the management of Deendayal Shodh Sansthan’s ashram school to grant a Deepawali gift of up to one thousand rupees to each of the 180 students. He also inquired about the school’s needs, to which Principal Santram Yadav responded that utensils, quilts, and mattresses were required for the students. Dr. Yadav requested a comprehensive list with cost estimates to ensure that these needs would be met. When he asked the students about their favorite food, they enthusiastically mentioned sweets and laddus. Promptly, the Chief Minister contacted Collector Anurag Verma, instructing him to ensure that sweets and laddus were distributed to all students in the ashram school on Sunday.
