BSL celebrated the conclusion of Vigilance Awareness Week on November 2nd, under the theme "Prosperity of the Nation through a Culture of Integrity." The closing ceremony, held at the Learning and Development Centre, highlighted various activities promoting anti-corruption awareness.
The event was presided over by Chief Guest and Director-in-Charge, Birendra Kumar Tiwari, joined by ED (Projects & Materials Management), Chittaranjan Mahapatra, ED (Finance & Accounts), Suresh Rangani, Chief General Manager (Vigilance) and ACVO, Gyanesh Jha, along with senior officers, department heads, and award recipients from various divisions.
The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, followed by a welcome dance by students from DAV Ispat School-8B. First-place winners of an inter-school debate competition, held in both Hindi and English, delivered speeches reflecting the theme of the week. Additionally, the Bokaro Sangeet Kala Academy presented a skit emphasizing the role of integrity in building a prosperous nation.
Addressing the gathering, Director-in-Charge DIC Tiwari commended the vigilance team for their efforts and emphasized that building a corruption-free India requires engaging all stakeholders and the general public in the integrity campaign.
The ceremony included prize distribution in categories such as speech, drawing, essay, poster, poetry, and quiz, recognizing winners from various schools. Principals from the participating schools were also honored for their support.
