IIM-R launches MDP for JNV Principals
IIM Ranchi inaugurated a five-day Management Development Programme (MDP) for the Principals and Vice-Principals of PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) from the Patna Region. The programme, held from November 19-23, 2024, aims to enhance the leadership and management capabilities of school leaders, equipping them with the tools to address contemporary challenges and promote holistic development in their institutions. Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director IIM Ranchi, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the importance of effective leadership in education. He highlighted that this programme is designed to provide participants with hands-on learning, enabling them to implement forward-thinking strategies and manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
Social Science Exhibition at SCS
Surendranath Centenary School hosted "Pushp," a Social Science Exhibition cum Competition, showcasing innovative projects from students of Classes IX to XII on the theme 'Vikshit Bharat' - Envisioning a Developed India by 2047. Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Prof. (Dr.) Tapan Kr. Shandilya, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the pivotal role of social science education in shaping informed citizens. He stressed the importance of gender equality and achieving sustainable development as crucial pillars for realizing the vision of a 'Vikshit Bharat'. Man held after five years in murder case
The accused involved in the murder of notorious criminal Sonu Imroz has been arrested after five years. Kotwali DySP Prakash had received secret information that criminal Mohammad Imran involved in the Sonu Imroz murder case has come to a wedding procession in Hindpiri. After this, the police team led by Kotwali DSP Prakash took action and arrested Mohammad Imran. He was absconding since the murder incident. On November 4, 2018, notorious criminal Sonu Imroz was murdered in a gang war in broad daylight at the taxi stand on Main Road, a few steps away from the Daily Market police station.
