Chandigarh: Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday jointly unveiled the coffee table book titled ‘Haryana Raj Bhavan - Ek Drishti’ at a ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan. Dattatraya highlighted the significance of the book, stating that this publication serves as a lasting testament to the values, heritage, and traditions that Haryana stands for, connecting our citizens with the state’s administrative and cultural legacy. Saini praised the Coffee Table book as an important achievement that encapsulates the spirit of Haryana’s rich cultural ethos and the Raj Bhavan’s pivotal role in governance. This commemorative book captures the architectural grandeur of the Haryana Raj Bhavan, cultural events of the state and important programmes attended and addressed by Dattatraya.
"Run for Unity" Program to be organized in Haryana on October 31
Chandigarh: In commemoration of the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a "Run for Unity" program will be held in all districts of the state on October 31, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM. A spokesperson informed that Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will be the chief guest for the event in Kurukshetra and Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal, will be the chief guest for the "Run for Unity" program in Gurugram. In addition, local dignitaries and senior officials will flag off the "Run for Unity" in their respective districts, promoting the spirit of unity and collective effort among citizens.
Hry CM asks officers to ensure purchase of every grain of paddy on MSP
Chandigarh: Instructing the officers concerned to ensure no farmers face any kind of problem, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday said that the officers need to ensure that the procurement agencies in mandis purchase every grain of paddy with moisture up to 17 per cent at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Presiding over a meeting with officials of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Saini talked to some farmers from across the State over the phone and inquired about the situation from them. The farmers informed the Chief Minister about the cuts being made during paddy procurement. On this, the Chief Minister gave clear instructions that the interest of farmers is paramount for the state government and the officials should ensure that the farmers do not have to face the problem of cuts. Saini, while resolving the problems faced by commission agents, instructed the officials to release the amount of wheat deduction of last year with immediate effect. He also said the state government is providing all kinds of facilities for the purchase of farmers' produce in the mandis, so that the procurement process can run smoothly.

Chd MC Commissioner visits legacy mining site & compost plant at Dadumajra
Chandigarh: MC Commissioner Amit Kumar, on Friday visited the legacy mining site along with compost plant and Pink MRF at Dadumajra to take stock of ongoing processing of different wastes and progress work of legacy mining at the site. During the visit at Legacy waste mining site, the Commissioner took stock of the ongoing progress work and asked the concerned engineers for timely completion of the project. The engineers concerned apprised that the bioremediation of legacy waste was started in October 2022 and till now successfully cleared 11 Lakh Cubic Metric of legacy waste and remaining 10 percent is set to be cleared very shortly. The Commissioner also visited a compost plant where the officers apprised that the compost plant spread over an area of 7,200 square meters, equipped with a 300 TPD windrow, is designed to handle the increasing waste generation in the city.
