Cong accuses Hry of becoming capital of temporary jobs without reservation, without pension, without merit

 

Rewari/Chandigarh: Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda on Sunday alleged that BJP-led Government in Haryana does work worth 25 paise, and announces Rs 10. Hooda, who carried out a padyatra in the Bawal assembly constituency, launched a direct attack against the BJP government on the Agneepath scheme, asking the government who suggested the fatal Agneepath Yojana, and why the government implemented it? He pointed out that ever since the ‘Haryana Maange Hisaab’ campaign has started, government investigation agencies like ED, CBI have also started a parallel campaign against Congress leaders at the behest of the BJP government. Deepender, while referring to the problems of record unemployment, drug addiction and migration in the state, asked why Haryana became the capital of temporary jobs without reservation, without pension, without merit.

 

Hry CM mourns demise of MLA OP Yadav’s son

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday expressed deep condolences on the demise of Umesh Yadav, son of MLA and former minister Om Prakash Yadav. The Chief Minister reached the residence of Umesh Yadav at Mohalla Kharkhari in Narnaul on Sunday, consoled the bereaved family and paid tributes to the departed soul. Umesh Yadav was 44 years old. Cabinet Ministers Dr Banwari Lal, Dr Abhe Singh Yadav; Ateli MLA Sitaram Yadav; former Minister Ram Bilas Sharma; former Minister and National Secretary OP Dhankar, besides other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

 

Thousands take physical standard test for Haryana Police recruitment

Panchkula: Thousands of youth on Sunday attended a physical standard test for Haryana Police recruitment at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex in Panchkula. The physical standard test is being organized by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission for 5000 posts of Police Constable (General Duty). Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) chairman Himmat Singh said that the physical standard test of 2000 candidates was conducted on July 16. After this, increasing the number in a phased manner, 5000 candidates are being called for the examination every day. The process of conducting the PMT examination of male and female candidates is proposed to be completed by August 10, 2024.

 

Purohit urges people to plant a tree

Chandigarh: Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Banwari Lal Purohit on Sunday attended the programme to mark the 265th foundation day of Terapanth. In his speech, the Governor highlighted the profound respect and special bond he shares with the Acharyas of Tera Panth. This relationship, he noted, has given him the unique opportunity to be closely involved with the events and milestones of Tera Panth. He urged everyone to plant a tree in honor of their mother, underscoring the importance of environmental conservation, stating, "All of you must plant a tree today because one plant is equal to 10 sons. The way the environment is changing today, the biggest need is to save the environment."

 

Free Blood Testing Service for Pre-Chemotherapy and Pre-Dialysis launched

Chandigarh: Padma Shri awardee and Rajya Sabha MP Balbir Seechewal, inaugurated the NGO Life Care Foundation’s free blood testing service for pre-chemotherapy and pre-dialysis on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized that while there are many who provide langar (community kitchens), there is a greater need for those who offer free healthcare services. Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, he said that due to financial constraints, poor people cannot even get their health check-ups done, let alone afford treatments. He welcomed the Life Care Foundation’s initiative, stating that efforts like these are extremely necessary for such needy individuals.

 

All govt agricultural services will be available at village level: Hry Minister

Chandigarh: Haryana Agriculture Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar inaugurated the Block Agriculture Office in Pratap Nagar on Sunday. The minister listened to the problems of the farmers present in the program. He was told that farmers face a shortage of fertilizers, and often, there is a fear of adulteration in pesticides or fake fertilizers and seeds. Farmers said that shopkeepers usually force them to buy other unwanted materials and fertilizers. When they reach the Block Agriculture Office with these problems, the officers present call it a matter outside their jurisdiction and ask them to go to the office of the sub-division or district level. On this, he said that all the government agricultural services will be available at village level.

 

‘Efforts to make 100 women leaders of corporate organizations’

Chandigarh: Prayas Educational and Charitable Society has conceptualized a project ‘Punjab 100’ to make 100 women corporate leaders from Punjab. Sony Goyal, founder of Prayas Educational and Charitable Society, said that under this scheme, 100 girl students who are natives of Punjab and Chandigarh or are currently studying as pre-final year or final year students in Punjab and Chandigarh or who have completed their graduation will be eligible to appear for the test.

Chandigarh: Renowned spiritual guru and author Guru Sakalama released her book ‘Messages from Himalayan Sages: Timely and Timeless’ during a grand event at Punjab Kala Bhavan, Sector 16. The event was graced by esteemed guests including Rajya Sabha Member Padma Shri Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal and actor Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi.
