Training cum capacity building at IICM

The Marathon Training for Capacity Building on Procurement of Goods organized by Coal India at IICM concluded. The training featured excellent faculty members who shared their knowledge with the participants. During the valedictory session, Brajesh Kumar Tripathy, CVO of CIL, administered the Promise to all participants, including the newly joined Management Trainees. Anil Singhal, former CTE, CVC, was also present and shared his thoughts with the participants. Dr. Kamakshi Raman, ED of IICM, and P.D. Sharma, ED (M&C), were also in attendance. Participants shared their feedback, highlighting that the program will be a milestone in achieving greater transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public procurement within Coal India Limited.

JPSS celebrates afforestation week

Jharkhand Pradesh Shaundik Sangh's state program in-charge, Uday Sahu, said that Afforestation Week was celebrated from June 24 to July 1, in which afforestation program is being run in many areas of the state, under the same, in Saraikela of the state, Under his leadership, well-known dairy development farmer Rajesh Sahu got the fruit plant mango tree planted on Monday, the last day of the afforestation week. Shailendra Kumar, in-charge of Afforestation Week, was told that due to the enthusiasm of the Afforestation programme, green revolution has come in the entire state. State Vice President cum Spokesperson Birendra Sahu said that people are taking positive participation in the afforestation programme, this inspiration will continue in future too. Forest plantation program is very important to protect water and forest land. Today, on the last day of Afforestation Week, hundreds of trees were planted in Saraikela.

SAF and RCA announce Senior Artist Residency programme

Serendipity Arts Foundation (SAF) and the Royal College of Art (RCA) have forged a partnership to launch the inaugural edition of a Senior Artist Residency programme. This collaboration marks a significant milestone, as it represents the first time in 120 years that RCA has opened its studios to an artist of South Asian origin. Sukanya Ghosh has been selected as the artist in residence for the 2024 edition and she will be immersing in the vibrant atmosphere of RCA’s campuses in London during her three-month immersive journey. The Senior Artist Residency offers an invaluable opportunity for established Indian artists to enrich their artistic practices, engage with students and professionals at RCA, and contribute to a broader artistic discourse through cultural exchange.

SCS celebrates Doctors' Day

The Health club of Surendranath Centenary School celebrated Doctors' Day on Monday with an aim to promote health and wellness among school children. Under SMILING BHARAT- National Orthodontic Drive, a team of qualified orthodentists, led by Dr. Poonam K Jayaprakash, Professor and Head, Department of Orthodontics, Dental Institute, RIMS conducted a thorough dental check-up for approximately 200 students of class II. Additionally an awareness session on oral health was also organized for the students of class V. The programme also included a sensitization cum orientation programme on cervical cancer and the importance of HPV vaccination for the students of classes IX to XII. The session was led by eminent gynaecologist Anjana Jha and representatives from ISOPARB (Indian Society of Perinatology and Reproductive Biology).
