SCS celebrates Rashtriya Ekta Diwas
Surendranath Centenary School celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on October 30th to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary. The Heritage Club of the school organized a series of events, including a "Run for Unity" marathon for Classes IX and XI at Khel Gaon, and a speech competition on "Rashtriya Ekta" by Class VIII students. Additionally, Class IV and V students presented a skit on 'Unity in Diversity'. Students took a pledge to uphold national unity and integrity during the assembly, with Principal Samita Sinha emphasizing the importance of instilling these values in students to empower them as responsible citizens.
Customer Grievance Redressal Camp at RRD
Special Vigilance Awareness Week is being celebrated in Ranchi Railway Division from 28 October 2024 to 03 November 2024 and various programs are also being organized. Under the same, a 'Customer Grievance Redressal Camp' was organized at Hatia Railway Station by the Commercial Department of Ranchi Division. Representatives of parcel, parking and catering stalls participated in this camp. Station Manager Dhruv Kumar, Chief Commercial Inspector Anurag Kumar, Commercial Inspector Ravi Kumar, Catering Inspector Kaushik Ghosh and Chief Parcel Supervisor A.K. Das were present in this camp. Along with this, a vigilance awareness campaign was conducted by Bharat Scouts and Guides at Ranchi station by organizing a street play to make passengers and railway employees aware.
Diwali Celebration inspired by Ayodhya
A grand Diwali celebration inspired by the Ayodhya tradition was organized in Samriddhi Park Society, located in Namkum, Ranchi. This celebration took place on Diwali evening, where all society members lit a total of 7,100 oil lamps. The lamps were fueled with castor oil, known for significantly reducing air pollution. Notably, women and children took charge of the entire event. The celebration began with the chanting of "Ram Dhun," followed by the lighting of lamps. As all 7,100 lamps were illuminated, the entire society glowed with the warmth of the diya lights, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. During the celebration, residents exchanged Diwali greetings and extended prayers for peace and prosperity throughout the nation. This was the second year of Diwali celebrations in the society. Officials announced plans to continue the tradition next year as well.
IIMC alumni organise Diwali Meet
Ranchi-based alumni of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) organized a Diwali meet at Ranchi's Cilantro Restaurant recently. Members attended it with their families and enjoyed celebrating the festival of lights. Sushma Kumar, wife of Rajesh Kumar, a senior member of the organization, impressed everyone by giving them the gift of a green Diwali. On this occasion, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Rashmi Verma, Anshu Kumari, Sarika Kumari, Amit Kumar Gupta, Manoj Kumar, Ranjit Kumar, Pranav Pratyush, Alok Kumar Gupta were seen enjoying the party with their families.
