The birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri were commemorated with great reverence and ceremony today in Bokaro. Local dignitaries, including Bokaro MLA  Biranchi Narayan, Deputy Commissioner  Vijaya Jadhav, and BSL - DIC B.K. Tiwari, along with other prominent officials and community leaders, gathered at the respective statues of the two national leaders to pay their respects.

At Gandhi Chowk, the atmosphere was charged with a sense of unity as children performed cultural programs and a Sarva Dharma Sabha emphasized Gandhi’s message of religious harmony. The floral tributes offered to both leaders signified a deep respect for their ideals of truth, non-violence, and simplicity—values that continue to resonate in modern India.

Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav’s speech reminded the audience of Gandhi’s relentless pursuit of cleanliness and non-violence while the presence of top Bokaro Steel Limited (BSL) officials underscored the lasting influence of both Gandhi and Shastri on the region’s leadership.  B.K. Tiwari's reflection on Gandhi's advocacy for equality highlighted the enduring relevance of his vision, particularly in fostering societal harmony.

The tribute at Lal Bahadur Shastri’s statue served to reinforce his legacy of simplicity and dedication to public service, inspiring citizens and officials alike to carry forward the principles he stood for.

As Bokaro's key administrative and community figures gathered for this commemoration, the focus on cleanliness, equality, and national unity was clear. The events not only paid homage to two towering figures but also served as a call to action—reminding the community to live by their values in daily life, from promoting cleanliness to fostering unity in diversity.
