The Bokaro District Archery Association has finalized its top eight archers to represent the district at the NTPC Senior National Archery Championship State Trials in Ranchi on December 1-2, 2024. In a testament to its excellence, seven of these athletes hail from the Vedanta ESL Archery Academy, showcasing its pivotal role in developing elite talent.
The Senior District Trials, hosted at Vedanta ESL Archery Academy within the Siyaljori plant of ESL Steel Limited, witnessed fierce competition with over 25 participants from academies like SAIL-Bokaro Archery Academy, Chandankiyari Day Boarding Centre, and Anjela Archery Academy. Following a rigorous selection process, four boys and four girls were chosen, including Rahul Mahato, Kuldeep Mahato, Chitranjan Tudu (Vedanta ESL), Amit Singh (Anjela Archery Academy), Kritika Kumari, Priya Kumari, Ganga Kumari, and Bani Munda (Vedanta ESL).
Established in 2020, Vedanta ESL Archery Academy has produced remarkable results, earning 185 medals across national, state, and district competitions. ESL Steel Limited’s Head of CSR, Mr. Kunal Daripa, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to expanding the academy’s resources and opportunities, ensuring greater success for Bokaro’s rural talent on national platforms.
