On Friday, the 150th birth anniversary of freedom fighter and tribal icon Lord Birsa Munda, also revered as “Dharti Aaba,” was observed with reverence and respect. District officials, led by Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav, gathered at the life-size statue of Lord Birsa Munda at Naya Mod to pay tribute. The Deputy Commissioner was joined by DPLR Menka, Additional Collector Mumtaz Ansari, Chas SDO Pranjal Dhanda, DTO Vandana Shejwalkar, District Education Officer Jagarnath Lohar, District Superintendent of Education Atul Kumar Choubey, Assistant Public Relations Officer Avinash Kumar Singh, Nodal Officer Pankaj Dubey, Project Officer Manikant Prajapati, and several other officials. They honored the legacy of Lord Birsa Munda by offering flowers and garlands at his statue.
Jadhav extended greetings to the public, marking both the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda and the 24th Jharkhand State Foundation Day. Emphasizing the significance of democratic participation, she urged residents to come forward and vote in the upcoming elections on November 20, 2024. “Casting our vote is not only a right but a responsibility,” she remarked. She further appealed to citizens to inspire their family, friends, and communities to join in the electoral process, reinforcing their role in shaping the nation’s future.
