After several complaints with senior officials of BMC and even making complaints with the CM helpline for not managing segregation of wet and dry waste and garbage collection, the contractor engaged in sanitation work has been fined Rs 5000 by BMC keeping wet and dry waste separately.
A cleaning contractor of Bhopal has been fined Rs 5,000 for not keeping wet and dry waste separately.
Corporation Commissioner Harendra Narayan imposed this fine. He also reached many areas to see the cleanliness arrangements.
Corporation Commissioner Narayan had received a complaint that the cleaning contractor of private colony Vardhaman Green under Ward-38 was not keeping wet and dry waste separately. Only mixed waste is being given to the vehicle attached to the door-to-door garbage collection of the corporation.
On which the Corporation Commissioner immediately instructed the Health Officer in-charge of Zone-9, Balveer Malik, to take action against the cleaning contractor concerned. After this a fine of Rs 5000 was imposed. The contractor was advised not to do this in future.
Corporation Commissioner Narayan also came out on Wednesday to take stock of the cleanliness system. They continued inspection till evening. He inspected the main roads, streets, central verge, site verge, drains and drains of areas like Kolar Tiraha, CIA Enclave, Chuna Bhatti, Mandakini Square, CI Park, Netaji Hills, Danish Kunj, Rohit Nagar, Trilanga, E-7 Arera Colony etc and asked to make better cleanliness arrangements by immediately cleaning the piles of garbage and filth lying at other public places.
During this, the Commissioner also made a video call and told the reality of the cleanliness system to the concerned Zone Officer.
