BJP using Central Agencies to affect elections: JMM

Saturday, 26 October 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has once again targeted the BJP government at the Centre over the ED's actions. JMM Central General Secretary Supriya Bhattacharya has fiercely attacked the BJP in a press conference and he said that BJP is disturbing JMM through the Central Agencies to get political mileage.

Bhattacharya said that the whole of Jharkhand is eager to elect its representatives but the BJP is trying to weaken the great festival of democracy with another conspiracy. "When there was no change from the big leaders of the BJP, the BJP has once again brought the ED forward," he added.

The party Spokesperson said that political infiltration is taking place in Jharkhand. "Yesterday there was a mega nomination. The family of a minister of our government who did the most work in his area is being disturbed. Once again the ED has been brought forward. All these news are being planted," he added.

Bhattacharya also said that BJP has lost the election, while attacking Himanta's statement of kicking him out, he also targeted the Election Commission. He said that the Supreme Court and High Court have questioned the credibility of ED many times and the more we are attacked, the stronger we will become.

At the same time, taking a dig, the party leader said that the Chief Minister of Assam is roaming from street to street. This is not going to make any difference to JMM. The Election Commission should stop the investigation of central agencies. BJP is trying to separate Santhals.
