Wednesday, 03 July 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

Assam Chief Minister and Jharkhand BJP Assembly election co in-charge Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has termed the Jharkhand government decision to postpone distribution of appointment letters to candidates who have passed the Post Graduate Trained Teacher Competitive Examination as victory of lakhs of students.

Sarma sharing his views through his X handle said, “The postponement of PGT in Jharkhand is a victory for lakhs of youth of the state. Finally, the government had to postpone it, accepting the demand of the youth. Appointments should be made free and fair and the matter should be investigated by the CBI.”

At the same time, Leader of Opposition, Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, Amar Kumar Bauri said through his X-handle that “Not just postponement, CBI investigation and strict action is necessary. The JMM-Congress-RJD government will not be allowed to play with the future of the youth. The fight for the rights and rights of lakhs of youth of the state will continue – the matter is not limited to the PGT examination only, the appointment scam has been carried out under a big conspiracy in the state under the protection of the JMM-Congress-RJD government. The demand is clear – the state government should hand over the investigation of this appointment scam to the CBI and ensure strict action against those who set it up and got it done.”

Amar Kumar Bauri said that the postponement of the appointment letter distribution program of the Postgraduate Trained Teacher Competitive Examination is a victory for lakhs of students of Jharkhand. The state government will have to get this matter investigated by the CBI. The Bharatiya Janata Party will not tolerate any kind of scam in appointment, playing with the future of the students. If the state government does not get this matter investigated by the CBI, then in the coming time, the Bharatiya Janata Party will fight the battle from the road to the Assembly in a phased manner with the students of the state.

It is known that the Jharkhand government had fixed the program of giving appointment letters to the candidates who passed the Postgraduate Trained Teacher Competitive Examination on 3 July 2024. In which 1500 candidates were to be given appointment letters. But on the one hand the students are sitting on dharna regarding the irregularities in this examination, on the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party, Jharkhand Pradesh also held a press conference on Monday and demanded a CBI investigation into this matter. After which, after the instructions of the Chief Minister's Secretariat, the Education Department has postponed this program.
