In a sharp critique of the BJP, Congress leader Devika Singh claimed on Monday that the ruling party is in a state of panic due to the fear of impending defeat in the upcoming elections. She accused the BJP of launching a smear campaign against Congress candidate Dr. Ajoy Kumar, asserting that the allegations being made against him are baseless and part of a larger strategy to undermine his credibility.
Devika highlighted the lack of political acumen of BJP candidate Purnima Das, stating, "She doesn't even realize that Jamshedpur is a city, not a state. It raises significant concerns about her understanding of the issues at hand." She questioned Das's capability to serve the public effectively given her apparent ignorance of local matters.
The Congress leader defended Dr. Ajoy Kumar, describing him as an "educated and mature person" who is committed to serving the community. Devika argued that the BJP's attacks are merely a reflection of their fear and desperation as they face potential electoral losses. "A well-planned propaganda is being orchestrated by the BJP to defame Dr. Ajoy," she asserted, emphasizing that such tactics will not deter the Congress campaign.
