Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Ranchi on Saturday to attend the BJP's extended working committee meeting. During this, there was a lapse in the security of the Home Minister. As soon as Amit Shah left for Birsa Chowk from Ranchi Airport, a bike rider with pillion entered his convoy.
After this, the police took both the youths into custody on the spot. Police say that the bike rider was not a part of the convoy. However, he was driving at a high speed and was following the convoy, so we detained him.
The BJP's extended working committee meeting has been organized at Prabhat Tara Ground in Dhurva, Ranchi, in which Union Home Minister Amit Shah also participated.
The two bike riders who entered Shah's convoy have been identified. One youth's name is Ankit and the other's Mohit. Ankit said that he did not know whose convoy was going. He admitted his mistake. Ankit also said that he is not a criminal. He said that he had entered the parking lot. But as soon as he applied the brakes, the police caught him. The other youth Mohit said that he only knew that some programme was going on in Prabhat Tara ground.
