Suraj Pal aliad Narayan Sarkar alias Sakar Vishwa Hari Bhole Baba, has been known for his controversial 'satsangs' and has a history of legal troubles, including allegations of sexual assault. Despite multiple cases filed against him in various jurisdictions including Agra, Etawah, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, and Rajasthan, he continues to command a considerable following, drawn to his promises of spiritual enlightenment and blessings.
Born in Bahadur Nagar, Kasganj, Suraj Pal had a stint in the police department before facing legal troubles in 1997 related to allegations of sexual assault, for which he served time in prison. Upon his release, he reinvented himself as 'Saakar Vishwa Hari Baba', attracting devotees to his ashram in his ancestral village. He completed his journey from a common man to a self-proclaimed Baba in a very short time. Baba completed his studies in the village itself. Bhole Baba has three brothers, the eldest brother has died, the second brother's name is Suraj Pal. The third brother is a leader in BSP and has also been the Pradhan of Bahadur Nagar village 15 years ago.
Bhole Baba's name is Suraj Pal. Before becoming a Baba, he was a head constable in LIU. He left the job in the year 1999. After becoming a Baba, white suit has been his identity. His wife's name is Prem Bati. Allegations are being made that many 'agents' were working for Bhole Baba. He used to give money to the agents to mislead them. To confuse the public, the agents used to say that a chakra is visible on Baba's finger.
Narayan Sakar has also been accused of illegally occupying the land of the village and building an ashram. The ashram has been built by illegally occupying the inhabited land of the village. It has also been alleged that beautiful girls live in his ashram. Apart from the girls, only special people are allowed to enter his room. Other people are not allowed to enter Bhole Baba's room. No outsider is allowed to enter his room at all.
Bhole Baba has many expensive luxury cars. However, none of the luxury cars used by Baba are registered in his name. All the cars are registered in the names of other people, especially devotees. Baba has not registered anything in his name. It is being said that he has also gone to jail once. However, Baba's popularity has been increasing continuously for some time. Last year, former UP Chief Minister and SP President Akhilesh Yadav also visited Baba's court. Pictures of Akhilesh visiting Baba's court are going viral on social media.
The main ashram of Surajpal, who does satsang in the name of Bhole Baba, is in Bahadurnagar village of Patiyali in Kasganj district, but he has many ashrams in other cities as well. One such ashram or say a house is also in Agra. He has a house in D Block of Kedar Nagar Colony of Shahganj in the Agra city in which he earlier used to live. A few years ago, a huge crowd of his devotees used to gather to see Baba, now it is just locked. Despite this, even today his disciples pass by this closed house and bow down.
Meanwhile retired DGP Vikram Singh said that many cases are already filed against the Bhole Baba who was conducting the satsang. This includes a case of sexual exploitation. He said that the local administration should take action against these babas who talk about miracles, this is a legal crime. Action should be taken against these babas under the Magic Remedies Act.
