Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya has made a big allegation on the officials engaged in the election in a press conference on Sunday. He has said that an attempt was made to kidnap proposer Mandal Murmu from Barhet of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

In this regard, Bhattacharya has accused Chief Election Officer (CEO) Ravi Kumar, IPS, Sanjay Anand Latkar and IPS, Amol Venukant Homkar on behalf of JMM and has demanded the removal of all three officials from election work.

The JMM general secretary has accused high-ranking officers of the Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service posted in the state of Jharkhand of misusing their position. He has said that these officers violated the code of conduct in favor of a particular political party (BJP) by interfering in the electoral process.

Bhattacharya said that a complaint has been made to the Chief Election Commissioner, Election Commission by writing a letter on behalf of JMM. Supriyo said that on Sunday at around 1 pm, a vehicle was stopped by Giridih police during vehicle checking. "Mandal Murmu, who is also the proposer of Hemant Soren, the candidate from Barhet ST of Sahebganj district, was stopped along with several persons. He was asked about his destination. When the passengers in the vehicle did not give any answer, the vehicle was stopped by Giridih police," he said.

The JMM general secretary said that the state CEO, Latkar and Homkar misused their position. "Unnecessary pressure was put on the Giridih district administration and police administration. After the spread of this news, all the passengers were released in a hurry under the protection of Giridih police," he said.

Bhattacharya further said that this is a very worrying and serious matter. The work of these officials should be reviewed by investigating all the facts impartially and thoroughly. He said that he should be removed from the election process with immediate effect. He said that at present Hemant Soren is the Chief Minister of the state and is also the star campaigner of our party. He said, the way his proposer Mandal Murmu was influenced to influence Soren's nomination, it is a criminal conspiracy as well as a violation of the model code of conduct.

Bhattacharya has demanded the Election Commissioner to take necessary action in this regard.
