Armyman posted at Bairagarh Cantt ends life

An army perssonel committed suicide while on duty in the state capital at 4 pm on Saturday, he was found hanging after he went missing for two hours on-duty at Bairagarh Cantoment.

His body was found hanging from a noose in a room. The body was taken out by breaking the door.

Bairgarh police said that Shobhit Kumar was a resident of Calicut, Kerala. He was posted in Bairagarh Cantt area. On Saturday, he was assigned duty with another officer. He was alone at 4 pm. During this time, he had locked the door of the mess room from inside.

On Sunday afternoon, the body was handed over to the army officials after a post-mortem at Hamidia Hospital. From here, the body will be taken to Indore by road. Then from there it will be taken to Kerala by air.

The door was not opened even after knocking several times

The police said that while searching for Shobhit, fellow soldiers reached a room in the mess. This room was locked from inside. Even after knocking several times, the door was not opened. So they informed the officials about it. When they broke the door and entered inside, they saw that Shobhit had hanged himself.

In a separate incident a woman  was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Harshvardhan Nagar in TT Nagar on Saturday evening.

 

When the husband reached home, the woman's condition started deteriorating, due to which the woman was admitted to JP Hospital.

The woman died during treatment. On receiving information from the hospital, the police reached, registered a case and got the postmortem of the body done on Sunday morning.

The woman identified as Poonam (26),  her  husband Hariram said that I had gone to work at 3 pm on Saturday. At 6 pm, an unknown person called. He said that your wife's health has deteriorated. I immediately reached home. Where my children were crying and my wife's condition was bad. Foam was coming out of her mouth. At 6.30 pm we took Poonam Raikwar to JP Hospital. After an hour the doctors declared her dead.
