The Teachers' Day celebration at Army Public School, Mhow, was marked by enthusiasm and reverence. The event commenced with a vibrant cultural program organized by the students in honour of their mentors during the special assembly.
In a unique gesture, Class XII students took on the role of Student-Teachers, conducting classes and showcasing their appreciation for their educators.
The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Senior Patron, Lt Gen KH Gawas, PVSM, VSM, Commandant MCTE, who addressed the gathering and presented gifts to the Principal, Vice Principal and all Coordinators. Also in this auspicious day the school had MoU Signing Ceremony between Army Public School, Mhow and Lt Gen (Dr) SP Kochhar, AVSM*, SM, VSM, ADC (Retd), former Signal Officer-in-Chief (SO-in-C) was signed in memory of the Late Cheistha Kochhar, an alumna of APS, Mhow, known for her exemplary achievements in both academics and co-curricular activities. Her parents, with the intent to inspire and nurture the talents of future students, proposed the establishment of a series of competitions to encourage excellence in Public Speaking, Critical Thinking, and Writing Skills.
The MoU, signed between APS Mhow and Lt Gen (Dr) SP Kochhar, AVSM*, SM, VSM, ADC (Retd), former Signal Officer-in-Chief (SO-in-C) and father of the Late Cheistha Kochhar, institutes an annual award system to recognize and reward outstanding performances in the proposed Debate and Essay Writing Competitions. These competitions will be held annually, with winners receiving running trophies, medals of excellence, and certificates.
The unveiling of these trophies and medals was done by Lt Gen (Dr) SP Kochhar, AVSM*, SM, VSM, ADC (Retd), former Signal Officer-in-Chief (SO-in-C) along with his wife Mrs. Deepti Kochhar, their son-in-law Prashant, and the Senior Patron Lt Gen KH Gawas, accompanied by Mrs. Shilpa Gawas.
Lt Gen (Dr) SP Kochhar shared his heartfelt thoughts on the occasion, reflecting on the legacy of his daughter and the importance of the newly instituted awards. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Principal, Mr. PK Tiwari.
The ceremony showcased the school's commitment to fostering academic excellence and holistic development among students.
