On the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, orders have been granted by the state government to transfer tigers to Rajasthan, Odisha and Chhattisgarh states.
In the order issued, 4 female tigers will be handed over to Rajasthan, one male and 2 female tigers to Odisha and 2 male and 6 female tigers to Chhattisgarh state from Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Pench Tiger Reserve and Kanha Tiger Reserve.
In the order issued, it has been said that as part of the in principle process of giving tigers, the process of translocating the tiger and tigress should be conducted under the supervision of an authorized veterinarian.
Care should be taken that there is no danger to the life of the tigers. The entire expenditure of translocation will be borne by the concerned state. Due permission for transfer should be obtained from the Government of India.
