AIIMS Bhopal organized a Vigilance Awareness Programme on Thursday, aligning with the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission and instructions from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Prof (Dr.) Ajai Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, emphasised the institution's commitment to fostering a culture of integrity and vigilance. "The Vigilance Awareness Campaign serves as a vital reminder of the need for ethical practices in all aspects of our work. At AIIMS Bhopal, we are dedicated to maintaining high standards of transparency and accountability. This program not only educates our staff on conduct rules and procurement best practices but also reinforces our commitment to a corruption-free environment," he stated.

The awareness programme featured two informative lectures. Shri Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Director of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis, delivered an insightful lecture on 'Conduct Rules,' underlining the importance of adhering to ethical guidelines and standards of conduct for all employees. Following this, Shri Muzammil Qureshi, State Manager for GeM Training In MP, presented a lecture on 'Procurement through GeM (Government e-Marketplace),' highlighting the benefits of using the GeM platform for ensuring transparency and efficiency in public procurement.

Col. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar, Deputy Director (Administration) of AIIMS Bhopal, also spoke on the occasion, stressing the importance of vigilance in everyday activities and the role of awareness programs in enhancing compliance and governance. "Through such initiatives, we aim to instill a sense of responsibility among our staff members and ensure that the principles of good governance are upheld in every action," he said.

The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, allowing participants to discuss various aspects of vigilance, ethical conduct, and procurement procedures with the speakers. AIIMS Bhopal remains committed to promoting good governance and ethical practices, in line with the principles laid out by the Central Vigilance Commission.

This event, part of the Vigilance Awareness Campaign being observed from August 16 to November 15, 2024, saw enthusiastic participation from a large number of faculty members, nursing staff, officers, and other employees. The program aimed to promote ethical behavior, transparency, and good governance across the institution.
