A day after The Pioneer carried a story on the largest Rain Basera complex in the state capital, Mayor Malti Rai visited the facility and reviewed provisions for the homeless on Monday.During her visit, Mayor Rai instructed officials to ensure that the food served at the facility is both nutritious and tasty.
She interacted with those staying at the premises and quizzed them about the quality of the food and services. Rai instructed officials to ensure that the highest level of service is provided to those staying at the municipality-run premises.
The Rain Basera, opposite the Indira Gandhi Hospital, is the largest among 17 similar night shelters run by Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) under the National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM). The Pioneer had published a heart-touching story on the facility on Sunday.
