A 40-year-old man consumed poisnuous substance outside Bagsewania police station in Bhopal on Tuesday afternoon after he failed to persuade a scooter rider to not lodge a complaint against him in an accident case.
Earlier, his car had collided with a scooter . Both the parties had reached the police station after an argument, the car driver was telling the scooter driver not to register a case citing treatment. However, the scooter rider wanted to lodge an FIR.
Despite all efforts, when the scooter rider was not ready to agree, the angry car driver took out a Celphos tablet from the car and consumed it. The police immediately took him to JP Hospital, from where he was referred to Hamidia. He died on Tuesday night during treatment in Hamidia. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
According to ASI Subhash Tyagi of Bagsevania police station, Vinod Tiwari(40), resident of Indra Nagar, Budhni. He used to do truck decoration work . He has a shop near his house and came to Bhopal on Tuesday morning for shopping.
His car collided with a scooter on Hoshangabad Road. After which there was an argument between both the parties. Later the matter came to the police station. Scooty driver Praveen Parihar gave written information about the incident to the police station.
Subhash wanted to make the scooty driver resign. Kept convincing him not to complain to the police station. The scooter driver was adamant on filing an FIR. There was a long debate between the two parties in the police station premises regarding this matter. At around 2 pm, Subhash took out alcohol from the car parked outside the police station.
After taking two pills of celphos he sat in the car. Seeing this the scooter driver informed the police. Immediately the police took him to JP Hospital where he was sent to Hamidia for treatment. He died during treatment here at night.
