Lohardaga District Disaster Management Officer Vibhakar Kumar has been arrested for taking a bribe of Rs 15,000. Ranchi's ACB (Anti Corruption Bureau) team arrested him red handed while taking bribes on Friday. He has been arrested from Vardaan Hospital in Lohardaga urban area. He had demanded a bribe in return for compensation. Along with them, ACB has also arrested a middleman.
A child had died by drowning in the pond. His family members had applied for compensation. When no action was taken after applying, the middleman assured them to get the work done. After this, a bribe was demanded from him in the name of getting compensation. A bribe of Rs 15,000 was demanded from the victim's family. After the complaint, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested him for taking bribes.
The victim's family said that when a bribe was demanded in lieu of giving the compensation amount, they refused to give it. After this the victim's family contacted Ranchi Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) and informed them about the entire matter. ACB investigated the matter, investigation found the matter to be true. After this the trap was laid. ACB team arrested the disaster management officer taking a bribe of Rs 15,000. Along with this, ACB has also arrested Abhiraj Rana, younger brother of the operator of Vardaan Hospital.
